I am going on 3 weeks trip to Europe and I wanted to record few things with my SA 8300HD while I am gone but alas, TV Guide is good only for 7 days (so I cannot just select and record shows I want directly) and once I tried to manually set recording it will only give me date option for one of the 7 upcoming days (I cannot select... lets say... date that is 13 days from today)...

I tried selection option to record every Sunday at the time I need but he records only first one and then he ignores the rest... also once I select that option he has 2 schedualed recording at the same time listed...

I understand that it is a software issue and my TV provider issue (Rogers) but since I got my SA 8300HD (more then 18 months ago) they had no upgrades to the software and none of the issues were corrected... maybe they did but I sure did not notice any... :sightv:

You are correct - Rogers still doesn't have the new firmware, although that may not fix your problem.

I'm with Rogers in Toronto and it allows me to record manually 2 weeks out - check again.

If you manually set an "every Sunday at 9 PM recording", it should record every sunday at 9PM, but manual recordings can be "problematical" - ignore the fact that there are two entries - it may work anyway.

Can you not select a "record all episodes" or "timeslot" recording to get it to do what you want?

The time to practice this is long before you need it. ;)

I did the same thing last year when the Tour de France was on and I was gone for several weeks...

I can set my box to record every week at that time slot but my fear is that box will record first week OK but it will not record followings weeks... I tried it allready when I went on my last vacation for two weeks and it didn't work...

I am not sure what to do...

I am really dissapointed in Rogers they haven't done anything to improve or correct box software... :(
