I have a STB(set top box) from Comcast connected via component cables to a Philips HDTV. I recently got a Samsung SyncMaster 940mw, which is a computer monitor/Hd-ready TV. This Samsung has DVI, and Component inputs and it has a built in Tv tuner.
My questions are
A) Is there a way to use this 1 STB to get Hd on both TV's?
b) If I use y adapers on the component cables will this work?
C) Since the Samsung has a built in tv tuner...Could this allow me to watch
different stations at the same time? Or will I be stuck with the same
station on both tv's

1) Yes
2) Possibly, you may suffer some image loss and need a component distribution amplifier
3) No, not if you are feeding both via component from your STB. If it's got a QAM tuner in it, you could try to hook your cable directly to the TV also and see if it can find any unencrypted digital stations.

If it's the motorola STB you could also use multiple outputs as they are all active. Try connecting component to one and HDMI/DVI to the other, then you might only have to split the sound.

I used to split the component connection on my STB before I moved, at my new place im running component cables to the bedroom (almost done) and plan on using HDMI on the set in the family room.
