I am returning my 3rd Samsung 50" in place of the 46" LCD Sony.
Reasons? All 3 Samsungs have an annoying looking circular glow almost dead center in screen, noticeable only when set is off and no pic playing. Your eyes must be looking down at screen from a distance to see it but can't be missed. It is a "glow" some sets had it larger than others and all 46 and 50" Sammys in stores have it but you must trun off the power to see it. Saw it on the Akai models also.
So now that I am switching from a beautiful looking picture of DLP to this Sony LCD, should I be having any unknown concerns? Should say that the first 2 Samsungs had a superior picture compared to the 3rd Samsung I got. The 3rd set had a very grainy picture in SD and motion pictures seemed to get fuzzy even in HD.
Another reason for the switch is that the Sammy was just a little too large for the cabinet holding it. I know, don't tell me, I will miss the larger picture!!!
