Hi all,

I'm getting Dish Network Installed next week.

I'm going to assume that the dish it self will be attached to something like the universal J Mount (http://www.antennasdirect.com/antenna_mounts.html).

I was going to order the DB2 Antenna (http://www.antennasdirect.com/DB2_Indoor_antenna.html) to capture my local over the air hd channels, since Dish Network does not have local channels in hd in my area (Omaha, Nebraska) yet.

My question is how to ask my installer to mount the DB2. Is it possible that the same mounting bracket that the dish is mounted to can also have the DB2 mounted on it? Is it tall enough? So both the dish and the DB2 antenna on the same mount. Or should I order an additional universal J mount for the DB2 antenna? Or can I extend the mounting tube that the dish is attached to, so that I may also mount the antenna to the same bracket with tube extension.

Thank you all. I love this site!

Head to Home Depot or Radio Shack for antenna mounting gear.

Thanks Kevin. I didn't know that Home Depot had that kinda stuff.

I take it from your answer that I'll need seperate mounting gear for the OTA antenna. Meaning that you can not mount the dish and the antenna on the same piece of mounting gear.

Your DISH antenna may be in a location that is not good for recption for example, to low to the ground, wrong side of the house..
check out here to see the direction for pointing your TV antenna.

Just a follow up for anyone else interested in the DB2 OTA antenna.

For me, it is a fantastic antenna. Was using a borrowed Terk indoor antenna for my local OTA HD signals. The DB2 blows that thing right outta the water. And I still have the DB2 sitting inside the house in my basement. Can't wait to see what else I pick up once that bad boy is mounted on the roof with my DISH. :drool11:

Inexpensive, simple set up. Recommended.

Later.
