Anyone else using this thing? I really like the dual tuner/dual record.

I really like it, too. I was using a 721, dual tuner/record, but only one output. It works very nicely with my Sony HDTV & "twin view."

Hey guys I have the 622 too hooked up to a Mitsubishi wd-52631 DLP and was wondering what do you guys use for a connection HDMI or Component? also which do you think is better and why?(i've read the component hook-up makes regular SD channels look better can any of you confirm or deny that?)

also with the 622 is it possible to hook up both the component and HDMI interface at the same time and then just change inputs to whichever looks better on the particular show i'm watching?
or is it a waste of time since I really won't see a difference?

I have mine connected with HDMI right now and when I tried to see how the component looked I got the dreaded blue screen :( (i did change the inputs)
I called dish and went through some tests and they said my Component connections must be bad on my 622 but encouraged me to stick with HDMI therefore I never got to view a picture using Component and thats the reason for my questions.. I could exchange it but if it's not better or maybe worse then I probably won't bother sending it back...thanks....

I use it connected via component to my Samsung DLP and then slave over to my Vizio LCD with HDMI. So yes I am using both simultaneously. I prefer component for my DLP and HDMI for the LCD. Richer colors darker blacks IMO.
