PT-61DLX76 vs. PT-61LCX66

Could someone comment on the differences between these two televisions? I'm guessing that it would be silly to get the LCX66 over the DLX76 which is brand new.

My other questsions relate to the PT-61DLX76 more specifically. Why is there absolutely no buzz about this tv? It seems comprobable to the sony a2000/xbr2 for a lower price.

The Cnet review gives this television a 6.5/10 which obviously seems low, and my gut instinct would normally be to just steer clear and go with a sony or some other more popular brand, however, I am able to get a nice deal on this panasnoic television.

At what point would you purchase a panasonic over something more proven? How much would they have to lop off the price? 1/7th? 1/5th?

This Tv has 1080p in the specs, does it accept and display 1080p?

Also, this would be my first HD purchase, the tv I have now is a 50in from like 4-6 years ago that seems to display 480p or something. It is a 4:3 television that gets way better picture on my HD channels (using component cables). Anyhow, my fiance and I are not videophiles. I can't seem to find this television anywhere to look at in the stores. My impression looking at the XBR1 in the store was that it looked plenty fine to me, but I know they adjust the brightness etc. to the point where its not how the TV would look at home.

Basically, I am lost. And need help to figure out whether its worth it to buy this TV at a discount or to just buy the XBR2 at full price. If you want the exact pricing info PM me and I'll let you know.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

LCX is LCD and is 720P native resolution, The DLX is DLP and 1080P native resolution. Like you said CNET gave it a lower rating but they also state that it has a solid features for the price so the only thing you can do is to check out, or for the same money go for a 50" Sony SXRD.
