hey, quick question:

anyone has this particular model?:

KV-40XBR800 Sony HDTV

its the biggest crt on the market and was wondering if any of you guys have/had one and what are your thoughts about it.

I already have KV30HS-420 Sony Wega HDTV but I was looking to get bigger one, for my 4:3 games.

and is it really 4:3?
I'm seeing in specifications that says:
enhanced 16:9, it looks like sort of 16:9 ratio, but not quite.

and what they are usually go for today?

thanks for response.

The KV-40XBR800 was introduced in 2002 (I believe). It is no longer available. The last time I saw one was at Circuit City in July of 2005. It was a 2004 model and was on closeout for around $2100.00 at that time. It had a great picture and was a 4:3 set. It was a massive CRT set that weighs over 200 pounds. I don't know what it would go for in today's market. You might want to consider buying an LCD, DLP or LCOS type set even though you would get a 16:9 aspect ratio. You can get the 42" Sony 3LCD model for around $1400. I have the 2005 version of this set and I love it. Here's a link for the review on the KV-40XBR800. http://reviews-zdnet.com.com/Sony_WEGA_KV_40XBR800/4505-6481_16-9453304-2.html?tag=nav
