I just got this email from Brian Pool at TapeWorks Texas like 10 minutes ago

This is the moment many of you have been waiting for!

The KDSR60XBR2 (http://tapeworkstexas.com/sony_kdsr60xbr2.html) will be $3700.00 from TapeWorks Texas + $180 shipping and any applicable taxes.

The KDSR70XBR2 (http://tapeworkstexas.com/sony_kdsr70xbr2.html) will be $5800.00 from TapeWorks Texas + $220 shipping and any applicable taxes..

Using promo code "SXRD XBR2 DISCOUNT" you can get $100 off of those advertised preorder prices.

Therefore, your price is $3600.00 for the KDSR60XBR2 and $5700 for the KDSR70XBR2.

My Sony rep says mid to late September for first availability.

TO PREORDER ONE OF THESE, send an email to tapeworksbrian@sbcglobal.net with the subject "SXRD PREORDER" and with the following information:

1. FIRST AND LAST NAME
2. FULL ADDRESS
3. PHONE NUMBER(s) WHERE YOU CAN BE REACHED
4. WHAT YOU ARE ORDERING
5. PROMO CODE

Payment information is not required at this time, as I will be contacting everyone ON OR AFTER AUGUST 31st for that information. This is just to get everyone signed up and in order in an organized fashion, and give us an idea of how many TVs we need to order from Sony so we can get them on order NOW if we need to order extras to make sure we have availability soon. My first order with Sony is already in. We want to make sure we will be able to get all of you your TVs in a timely manner, and having these numbers will help us in dealing with Sony and placing orders.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Thanks,
Brian Pool

Thank you for the information...great pricing...especially since you live in SD.
I would like to hear from anyone who recently bought an HDTV set from them and if there were any concerns or problems.
How are these folks for handling warranty concerns, shipping mistakes and broken HDTVs (for exchange?) and do they have a good warranty programme?
