how far can you expect each antenna to reach; set-top, attic, roof mount.

Thanks!

Go to this site and put in your address, it will give the directions to the HD transmitter and antenna recommendations.

AntennaWeb.org (http://www.antennaweb.org)

Hope it helps,
Lee

Roof is the best.
Attic can work, but depends on the distance and power from the towers. (I use an outdoor antenna in my attic. 20 miles from towers).
Indoor... may work (same reasons as above)but, indoor will also suffer from no elevation, reduced signal due to building materials (aluminum siding, windows, foil backed insulation).

Keep in mind... the price for an indoor antenna can run the same price (and maybe more) than an outdoor antenna.

Thanks for the info!

My new HDTV of 2 days has built in tuner. So I was trying to get some air signals with rabbit ears :) ... just playing with new toy kind of thing.

Analog cable looks much better than anticipated, and I was curious about HD signals and wanted to get a feel for what they would look like before going through the roof mount work.

I have towers 40-50 miles away and was wondering if anything less than huge roof top would have a chance.

I'm 25 miles from the broadcast towers and use a $39 Channel Master antenna in my attic. Two story wood frame house, composite shingles. I get 100 on the meter, sometimes a little flicker under 100 when the weather is bad.
