I understand the Cinemotion does a reverse 3:2 pulldown. Does that also imply that the out put is a 480p picture (i.e. progressive)?
Just curious. My player - Sony DVP NS700p has pregressive output but I leave it turned off because if it is on, the TV will tend to get "stuck" in 16:9 mode regardless of what the player puts out. Perhaps this is an issue with the movie encoding on the DVD?
For example, if I have the Princess Bride SE in, the player set to progressive output, the menu on the DVD - which is 4:3, appears in 16:9. The documentaries also appear in 16:9 but they are shot on video and should be 4:3.
Any thoughts on this are welcome...
