I have a KDF 50WE655 and I'm getting a cracking sound when I turn on my digital box. It's not the tv itself. Anyone knows what is causing this.

You mention that it's not the tv itself. Does your digital box make the sound when it's not hooked up to the tv? If that's the case...my only thought would be that the box itself is defective. Maybe someone else here might have a better explanation.

I get that sometime too. just unplug the box for 30 sec to reset it and it should go away.
