Hey does anyone know if this Direct TV H20 reciever or some other one will make my picture quality better on my SCEPTRE X30sv-NAGA III 30" by switching from 480-1080? When I play my PS2 games, the images are blurry. The same thing when watching DVDs but a little better. On the TV I don't know where to change between the 480-1080i so therefore I thought maybe buying this reciever will help. :sightv:
On the box it says it's HDTV ready but I can't find where to switch between those contrast options!
Can anyone help???
Ohhh yeah I don't have the manual from my LCD so I can't look it up!
Thanks guys, appreciated!

A new receiver will not help if your TV is not setup properly. First... find a users manual. Contact Sceptre.
In the mean time... why not tell us how you have everything connected (cables, hardware make/model#,etc)?
Where's the manual? Did you buy the TV second hand?

Yeah I might need to find the manual later.
Well there are not cables, just a simple power cord pluged into the outlet. Then my PS2 is connected to the TV (S-video, R, L) and that's about it! The make is listed on top of the thread.

S-Video doesn't support HD nor 480p for that matter (480i only). That's why you don't see any difference.
Why not read some of the FAQ's to get familiarized as to what you may need?

You can only get 1080i when you use the component or the DVI inputs. I have tried both of them and I get better picture quality with the component inputs.
You have to buy a HD setup kit for your PS2 if you want 1080i output. You can get this pretty much anywere (walmart, bestbuy, circuit city, etc). In fact, you have to buy special cables for all of the game consoles out there. I dont even think the xbox 360 or the PS3 come with component out cables!
