KLVS23A10 always starts up in Wide Zoom?

This is a 23" lcd from Sony I have hooked up in the bedroom to a Directv H20 High Def receiver. Everything is configured the same between the STB and the TV as my other Sony hi-def TV is configured for the home theater in another room. But for some odd reason, everythime I turn this TV on, the picture is set to wide zoom. I have to grab the TV's remote and re-set it to full, which is what I prefer.

Is there something obvious I'm missing? I'm also confused that the picture mode allows me to change the settings between normal, full, zoom, and wide zoom even on the HD channels, such as 73 for ESPN. I want to just leave the setting at Full to stretch the non-HD channels, but have the HD channels come up the way they normally would automatically. I didn't think the TV picture setting could be used to adjust HD channels.

But more importantly, I just want to be able to turn the TV on and off and have it stay set to Full picture all the time.

Some HDTVs are able to stretch HD signals, however, I believe that you MAY have your receiver set up incorrectly, perhaps sending SD signals to the TV?

I'm not sure if the H2O is able to send 1080i for HD and 480i for SD signals or not, but that would typically give you the "force the signal to "full"" for HD signals (normally HD forces "full" for HD signals on HDTVs) and allow you to maintain your preferred stretch for SD signals (which for you is apparently also full), but I don't know if that STB does that

I assume you're connected via component video cables or DVI or HDMI.

I also don't understand why your TV doesn't start in the same mode as what it was when you switched it off. Perhaps someone with the STB and HDTV can shed some light on the situation.
