I am located between Shreveport, LA and Tyler, TX but am 15 miles closer to Tyler. I want to combine the signals of two antennas in to one cable. My original outdoor antenna that I have used alone for some time now is a long range Winegard 9095 UHF only with UHF only preamp. It is aimed toward Shreveport. It brings in all digital channels from that direction just fine. Lately three UHF digital channels from the Tyler direction have came online (none are on the same frequency as the Shreveport ones so no problem on that)and the signals are coming in but since not aiming the 9095 in that direction, they tend to dropout too much to be viewable.

Also in the Tyler direction, there is an ABC affiliate that is broadcsating on VHF channel 10. Hoping to add these Tyler channels, I bought a small Channelmaster 3016 VHF/UHF antenna and installed it in the attic along with a VHF/UHF preamp. They all come in great until I combine the two feeds. After I combine them, two of the stronger Tyler UHF channels drop out a lot. I am thinking that their signals are coming in too strong from the Shreveport aimed antenna and are causing trouble . There is no problem with the VHF channel.

Would this be a good situation to use a notch filter such as the Winegard UT-2700 on the Shreveport aimed antenna? If there are any other possible remedies or ideas, please comment.
