How big is your room? How far back will you be sitting? I would say if price isn't the deciding factor in your decision and if you will be at least 10 feet away in a large room...go for the larger set!
Why not? With the receipts posted for some sweet deals on the 57" I would say go 4 it. I believe they are virtually identical except for size, but Admin Joe would know better...he das the 57"....which is one of my 3 favorites....and currently on top of my list all things considered.

yup, it all depends on how big your room is, when i was buying a set I initially went with a 65 inch but once we got it installed in the living room it was way too big. luckily the place we got it from allowed us to change the TV within 10 days so we replaced it with a 55 inch and got the difference back.
See if the place you are going to buy the set from will let you do something like that.
