This is a big question for me in making my HDTV purchasing decision. I have this question on another post.

Alot of what I want to watch in HD is going to be transmitted by my local station OTA. That said, I dont want to spend the extra money on an integrated HDTV if I dont have to.

Can you buy an HD Ready TV, and then purchase HD Satellite, and still receive local HD broadcasts without the integrated chip in your HD Ready TV?

I don't think local HD will be availible on Satellite any time soon. You can however get a STB that has support for both Satellite and OTA.

Or you can contact your cable company and see what HD stuff they have to offer.

yes, you can receive over the air through DTV box.

(Hughes and all the others)

Or you can just ask you local Home Theater Store.
