Hi all,

I just got an AKAI LC-E32WCHH (well I live in Brazil and got the Gradiente LCD-3230 wich is in fact an LC-E32WCHH...)

Anyway, when I use 1280x720 input, I get ALMOST perfect screen fit for the image. But for 1360x768, and some other resolutions (including standard 1080i), I get a noticeably smaller picture size!

I tried to get to any size/position controls on the standard menu but no luck.

I guess I need to go into the service mode? Problem is, I can't find any mention of this LCD TV's service menu access codes...

Can anyone help?

I keep reading on some places that the AKAIs are in fact Samsung. If this is true, can anyone tell me the corresponding Samsung model for this set please?

Thanks in advance!!!

:D  :)

I assume you're trying to view the image from a computer. It's suggested that you adjust the computer properly and NOT play with the overscan/underscan settings on the TV. See the HTPC forum and search for "Powerstrip".

If you want, see the HDTV FAQ "Service Codes". Some TVs don't have overscan/underscan settings, even in the service menu.

Hey 57U, thanks for the reply! You are correct I am currently trying to hoop up my PC to the LCD TV...

I am gonna take a look at these powerstrip tutorials. But having the LDC TV display the resolutions scaled correctly by itself would be ideal (using a service menu I hope).

I say this because the powerstrip method will only work for my own PC and with unchanged configuration. Every time I change my PC configuration I have to apply powerstrip again, and if I ever use any other computer (say a friend's laptop, etc), it will be displayed off-center and have underscan. Come to think of it, it doesn't even need to be a computer! I mean, even 1280x720 (standard 720p) is a bit off-center. So whenever I get myself an Xbox 360 or a PS3, all games will be this one inch to the left, off-center. I know I'm being picky, but it IS annoying... and anyway, if I have the possibility of having a correctly-centered display on my own TV, why not?

I still can't find the service codes for my TV anywhere on the net, I even emailed AKAI and Gradiente (the importers here in Brazil) to no avail. Not even those sites that SELL service manuals have replied my requests...

And the standard 1 8 2 method for AKAI TVs won't work (guess it's for CRT).

Will keep trying though!

:thankyou3 :grandpa9: :grandpa9:

Ratman, did you mean this thread? http://www.bruzzi.ws/forum/showthread.php?t=69

The first mode won't work for me, because there are no such buttons on my remote. And the second mode I tried several times, won't work either...

:headb: :wow: :sightv:
