Hi Folks,
Just picked up a used pt-53x54j model made April 2004. Im missing the owners manual which is making it hard to figure out this tv, also not sure I have the correct remote can someone with this same model share any info they have. The remote that I have says Panasonic Light Tower at the bottom. Also if you have an online owners manual I would greatly appreciate someone sharing it with me.

Did you go to the Panasonic site? I see that they have some operating manuals, but your model number didn't come up. Check it?

Just use model# "PT-53X54" (no "j")
I did that but didn't read the page carefully I guess - it said in red, no customer care products, but then I see that if you click for other products, you can download the manual. Thanks Ratman. I hope that helps the OP.

Thanks for the info, I have downloaded this but was not sure if it was the same as the model with the J at the end of it. It looks right, I have the place I bought the tv ordering me a new control as Im sure this is not the correct one and can operate some of the features like "aspect" so I have to wait 3-4 days for it to arrive, lets see if I can make my screen stretch with that aspect button.
P.S. When I play dvd's I have a 5 1/2 inch space on both sides, I tried wide screen dvds and full screen and both give me the space at the end so im assuming once I get the remote control I should be able to make this go away?
