The first 3 Star Wars are pretty good. But the last three sucked. Let me clarify that. The first three had visuals, "Damn good for the late 70's and early 80"s", and good acting. The last three had outstanding visuals but awful acting and one stupid character. You know Jar-Jar or what ever his stupid name was.

Nice that CinemaxHD offers such a complete series for this genre, but honestly, when you think that most TWC locations do not even offer CinemaxHD in their HD channel lineups, its sort of ridiculous and sad, at the same time.
Cinemax's parent company, like Time Warner Cable, is Time Warner.
Instead, I am looking for the HBO HD showings next year, as per the article, as getting CinemaxHD on my own TWC system will be next to impossible to get it in time.
As far a a bigger HDD, maybe Bluray will have a HD collection that will come out, since Fox will not do HD DVD and the 50GB are finally appearing for better assumed quality.

It’s my understanding that Lucas owns the distribution rights for the SW films and not FOX. So it will be up to George to decide to release the SW films in his format of choice, and the rumor is that he has no preference at this time. Remember this is George Lucas “The legend”, and not that pompous Steve Feldstein who thinks he is a "legend in his own time" better said in his own mind. :D

I can't get CinemaxHD, nor would I want to keep anything that big on my DVR's HDD.
So high def discs of this genre would be excellent, it just seems as though FOX will not do HD DVD, so maybe the "other" format, if it starts delivering what it keeps promising.

I don't want to defend the new ones too much, but to be fair Episode 2 had like 2 scenes with Jar Jar and Episode 3 had even less (if it even had any, I don't remember for sure). I thought they were all OK, and won't argue with you on the acting, but they did take away Jar Jar at least.

Well I've been watching the saga since last night (off/on), and it was amazing.

I've seen SITH in HD many times, and had it on my DVR already, shame I couldn't record the other 5 for lack of space right now :( but I did sit and watch 4, 5 and 6 which I had never seen in HD before - Only DVD... so that was a real treat for me, as I am a child from the late 70's and 80's, and a huge starwars fan.

In fact, Jedi just ended as I type this :) the credits are still rolling. For those who missed out, I'm sorry.... For those who were able to see them, it was amazing.

I'd like to add a couple of comments... Our able company just "became" twc here in Arlington, TX... and yes I watched on Cinemax HD, via my Moto 6412-III box.

My only complaint with TWC is they removed all the free (or with subscription) HD on demand stuff! The previous company (comcast) had offer several free HD movies, and starz hd on demand and a couple of other things... nothing major, but a few things HD ondemand... Now ZILTCH from TWC... Everything (or anything) on demand in HD is PPV! :( thats BS.... but whatever.

Last, Did anyone who might had watched this notice some of the sub titles were missing during certain scenes? Like in Ep4 when Han is talking to Greedo in the bar, a couple of the lines of dialog were not subbed properly... And I noticed the same thing during one of the Jaba sequences in Empire or Jedi (Can't recall now)...
