F38310 channel banner question

Hi all. I was wondering, is there any way to disable (or reduce the size of) the channel banner that pops up every time you change channels on the F38310?

I use cable, not directv, so the banner is very obnoxious and uninformative. I was aware of the fact that I'd have to deal with the banner when I bought the set, but I recently started wondering if there was some workaround.

Nope...
No way size it, no way make it 'disappear' faster.

You *can* make it disappear faster by pushing the "clear" button on the remote, and sometimes if you hit it soon enough (while the tuner is still 'locking in') on some channels you might not see the banner at all.

yeah the clear button is the only way to at least speed it up...
