locked my pt-53tw53 tv

I really need some help here in unlocking my tv. Someone in my house accidently locked the tv and now we can't unlock it. Does anybody know a master code or how to unlock the tv manually from the inside? Panasonic told me I needed to call a technician but I'm sure that will cost at least $100.

Try unplugging the TV overnight. See the HDTV FAQ "Things to check first".

If the TV is "locked" then you may wish to try unlocking it using the usual easy codes, like 0000 or 1234, which may be the defaults.

Thanks, I tried all those already and no luck. I tried googling for a service manual to try to fix it myself. Does anyone know where I might find a service manual?

Try this procedure...

Panasonic V-chip unlock procedure.

With the LOCK OSD displayed, press the VOL- button on the projection display and OK button on the Remote control at the same time for more than 5 seconds. When reset is finished, power shuts off automatically.
Using this procedure will reset all user’s memory Functions.
