Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew if the Insignia NS-27HTV supports HDCP ?
I can not find information that it does anywhere so I am assuming it does not but if anyone has any information on this, please reply to this post. I am thinking of purchasing one on Black Friday from Best Buy, $279 after a $80 mail-in... I don't want to be stuck with 480p as my max though.
thanks !

I don't recall any HDMI that doesn't have HDCP. The native resolution is 1080i, so all incoming signals will be converted to 1080i. You realize this is a 4:3 TV.

See the HDTV FAQ on 4:3 vs 16:9 displays, as well as the other FAQs.
So all HDMI inputs are HDCP compatible? The reason I ask is I have the KDS-R60XBR1 and I was worried it does not explicitly state its HDMI inputs are HDCP compatible. This would be great news.
EDIT! After reading 57U link he provided I see the anwser.
HDMI (High-Definition Multimedia Interface) The highest-bandwidth digital-to-digital connection currently available for home theater electronics, allowing the direct transmission of uncompressed digital video and audio signals between compatibly equipped devices via a single cable. HDMI connectivity bypasses the signal-degrading digital-to-analog and analog-to-digital conversions that are necessary with lesser connection types like component video, providing the ultimate in digital picture and sound performance. All HDMI connections support HDCP (High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection), allowing the transmission of copy-protected high-definition content. Depending on the application, an HDMI connector may function as either an input or an output.
