alright well i got roger digital cable (not the hd box) and at some channels i will see like once in a while random white dots appear through out the screen. Like 2-3 dots and random points and then they go away.. is this the channel or the tv?

i got a PT-56lcx16 or something like that.

Other question.. i got a roger digital box , if i plug it into my dvd/vcr and plug my dvd/vcr to my tv using high definition cables (red, blue, green) will i be able to watch high definition channel or will i need a hd box for sure?

1. The dots are probably simple occasional pixellation. See the HDTV FAQ "acronyms and definitions".

2. You need an HD STB like the SA3250HD, or the SA8300HD DVR to get HD channels. People love their DVRs. You cannot send the signals "through" a DVD recorder or VCR from the STB since those devices are SD.

3. See the HDTV FAQ "How to connect a VCR/DVD Recorder and cable STB".

4. Check out the other HDTV FAQs:

- What you need to do to your new HDTV
- Cables & connections
- Etc.
