HD Through a RGB cable?

I have a Zenith HD set, and a Zenith HD tuner. Both have a RGB input/output to watch HD through. NOTE: To clarify, the RGB cable is just like one used on a computer monitor.
Has anyone here ever run their signal through a RGB cable? How does it compare to component cables?
