This seems like the best place to bring up my problem.

I recently bought a Samsung 32" HDTV, mainly to use with my xbox 360. However, for the first 20+ minutes of being switched on, the image seems to suffer from some "motion blur".

It hardly makes the game unplayable, but when your spending a lot of money you want to be confident that you TV set is not faulty. After about 20 minutes, the problem goes away and the games look amazing. Is this "warm up" period common in HDTV's, or do you think mine may be faulty.

I have a 5 year warranty/guarantee, so if it is a problem I can get it fixed.

Any help or advice would be great :)

You need to provide detailed information about the type of tv, model, etc. Your generalized statement makes it hard to ascertain what the problem could be, if there is one.

I've got a Sammy 42"
Sounds like you might have the Auto Self Focus on.

"During the process, minor
distortions of the picture may
occur. At this time, the colors
may diffuse and a searching
pattern will appear on the edges
of the screen. This is a normal
part of the adjustment."

It runs every time you turn on the tv. You can turn it off in the
"Self Focus" option in the "Setup" area of the menu.

Hope this helps.

What he means is for the first 20 mins or so, the image suffers from the blur you get during very fast motion.......it's exaggerated in comparision to when then tv has been on for a long time. After the TV has been on, it goes away.
