TH-50PX60U; every button but the ON/OFF is disabled...???

I came home yesterday and I can turn on and turn off the TV, but every other button on the set or the remote does nothing. I have the remote set to run the TV and the "TV" button flickers each time I press one of the remote buttons, but nothing happens. I normally do not use a universal remote but I have one and the universal cannot get the TV to do anything but turn on or off either.


How tam I supposed to change the input on the TV now? I am stuck watching cable TV in HDMI because that is the inpiut it is currently set to and I don't have a DVD player that supports HDMI. in fact the only component that supports HDMI is my cable box.

so no DVD's or Xbox for me until I fugure this problem out.

Anyone had this happen to them? if I find out I will post it here.

Unplug the TV for a few minutes. It'll likely reset when you plug it back in.. See the HDTV FAQ "Things to check first".

Take a look at the STICKY about firmware updates on the main page of Panasonic. The update fixes that exact problem.
