Hi Guys: I just brought a 52" Mitsubishi DLP Rear Projector TV for my husband as Christmas present. He is out of state now. I want to setup the TV so it can view the HDTV channel also. If I just buy a HDTV Receiver (I don't know which yet), will it do the work?
I have no satellite dish at my house!
Thanks!

How do you receive TV now? Cable, antenna?

Connected through Cable Box from Ebay!
Most Cable companies will not activate a digital cable box that has not been purchased/rented from them. The e-Bay STB (cable box) is probably a doorstop. What is the make/model of the STB and who is your service provider?
If you want HD cable, then you'll need to contact your service provider and rent the STB from them. Or you can get a DVR - people love their DVRs.
Also, read the HDTV FAQ "Can I get digital cable" - depending on the make/model of the TV, it may have a QAM tuner and you may be able to pick up your locals in HD.
If the lingo is baffling, see the HDTV FAQ "Acronyms & Definitions".
