New JVC 61" 1080p rear pro HD-ILA w/HDMI. Is it HDCP

ARE the HDMI inputs HDCP compatable I hooked up my PS3 w/ $100 HDMI cords only to get no signal the tv acts like theres no input Im so confused about HDMI w/ or w/out HDCP bestbuy salesman says all new tv W/ hdmi are HDCP is this correct. HOW can I tell what the problem is

99.9% of HDMI interfaces are HDCP capable.

If this is the TV you own... it's stated here that the HDMI inputs are HCDP supported.

Check that the HDMI cable is properly connected on each end.
Make sure you select to proper video input for display.
Make sure the video output is properly setup on the PS3.
