Panasonic PT-47WX52 tp Receiver

:confused: I have a Panasonic PT-47WX52 and upgraded my old receiver(Mitsubishi ProLodgic) to a Yamaha HTR-5560.I used to send my audio signals through my old receiver but can't seem to make this new one work that way. DVD's work great but SBTV comes through the TV speakers. Since I don't have digital cable installed yet (Waiting list for the STB) there is no connection through the STB to the receiver to be done. Just straight anolog cable to the back of my TV through the Antena input. How can I get the audio/video signal through my receiver and utilize my speakers instead of the TV's speakers? The manuals for the AV receiver and the TV are both unclear to me. They don't seem to show quite how this is to be done. They do show the information through a STB using video cables and optical cables but nothing with regard to the proper input/outputs to use without the optical cable. Since my TV has no optical cable input/output what would I use. I would assume that the new STB will have an optical output for the receiver but can I do this now without the STB? Am I missing something here or maybe just getting brain dead trying to figure this out and should just wait for the STB?
