The name change becomes official May 1st. I hope the same art directors are the one's creating the MOJO look. I love the butterfly-style logo INHD has. The clean white bumpers are excellent. And, I still have hope that INHD2 comes back (in whatever form).

Thanks for the info on this, it was always rumored about the time when INHD2 went away there would be a name change to this.
The new name alone would not do anything to make me want this channel if I didn't know it was originally INHD, so I wonder if it will be asked for in the future from providers.
Names such as "MHD", "UHD", "HDNET" and so on at least indicate HD programming to the unsuspecting HDTV viewer what is.
"MOJO" alone as a name does not indicate an HD channel at all, much less, what it is for actual programming. ("MOJO" what?)
I wonder if Directv will get this newly-renamed HD channel in September when those 100 HD channels become available (supposedly that month).

What does "IN" denote for programming? ;)

IMO... when you select a channel named "XYZ" and once you know it has HD programming... you can can go from there and decide if you want to watch any programming or not.

Many network logos are meaningless to denote programming let alone whether it's analog, digital SD or HD.

What does "Spike" denote?
What does "TNT" denote?
What does "USA" denote?
Heck... you can tune to WPVI-DT (My local ABC affiliate) and can't tell by the name what's on and whether it's HD or not. ;)

I still don't know the "G4" denotes...

I'm sure D* will designate their additional HD channels as directed by the network(s).

In many cases, the average HDTV consumer gets their HD (hopefully) from at very least OTA, where the 4-7 HD locals have "DT" logo or "HD" in the right or lefthand bottom corner during the network programming as a guide for them.
Cable companies, like TWC in my area, group the HD channels together in a block of channels, though in some cases, a digital, non-HD channel appears out-of-place (but in sequence).
Some folks I know thought one of them was an HD channel since it is in that series of channels, until I asked them to look for the HD or DT logos.
INHD, HDNET and so on clearly explain to the unknowing or newbie HDTV owner what these are vs. some oddball digital channel in the mix that can confuse them.
One remarked to me recently, "Channel 507 sure doesn't look like HD to me, why is so smeared-up for HD unlike channel 508 (HBO HD)?"
I had to tell them TWC stupidly stuck channel 7 analogue in with the HD channels so we could get WLS7 from Chicago, a grandfathered-in channel, instead of making it another analogue channel in the local lineup.
When Directv adds those 100+ channels, I wonder where they will put them, as right now, INHD (or MOJO) couldn't make it in the 70's series that is almost used up.
Some block of HD channels will have to be configured to make MOJO part of the HD "neighbourhood" I would think.
My concern is that HD is clearly HD when newer HDTV owners look up channels as even now, it can be confusing...INHD said it all. :D

Not to be argumentative... but even "DT" is confusing sonce that only denotes a digital channel, not necessarily HD.

The cable provider has no way or option to change network "logos", so it is what it is. The best they can do is "group" channels that are HD "capable" into a section.

The reality is that each provider and each area (even with the same parent provider) may have different channel designations.
