I have a panasonic HDTV tv projection monitor. I recently subscribed to Cox HDTV. I hook up the 5 -wire cable from my Cox box to the Component 1 connection. The HDTV looks worse than the regular digital channels. What am I doing wrong. HELP!!

Your HD should not look worse than your "regular digital" channels ... or any channels.
Make sure your cable box is set up properly. The FAQ's have setup tips for Motorola and Scientific Atlantic boxes.
Make sure your cables are connected properly and secure.
