At the moment I have my (old, crappy) SD TV connected up to my Wii. I have my computer connected up to a CRT monitor.

Now. I want to combine the two; but my main question is how.

By that I mean which of the three routes do I go down:

1) HDTV

Use this with my Wii/future 360. Connected DVI/HDMI (depending on connections the TV has) to the PC for picture output.

My main issue with this is how will the PC image look? I'd prefer a low ms refresh rate (<2ms would be perfect, but 4-8ms is more realistic).

2) PC Monitor

Use this with my PC. Put a Digital Tuner into my computer to watch TV on it.

But my main issue with this is how will TV pictures look on it? They will be partial to slowdown from the comupter, as well as the picture from my Wii connected to the graphics card... and does this work well?

*Probably best to ask this one to a PC forum though...

3) Buy both.

Get none of the problems (and I need a new one of both). But it takes up more space, and doesn't let me watch the movies I have on my computer on the comfort of my sofa (well. not easilly/without further equipment)

---
At the moment, I'm swaying towards the HDTV idea; hence the reason I posted here.

My budget is around $1,000. Size around 22-27" (32" about my limit). I therefore assume that 1080p won't be necessary on a small set; I would be alright with 1080i or 720p. As I said, a low refresh rate would be ideal as well, so that my games could be played quickly on my PC...

Any help greatly appreciated.

Look into the Olevia 532H. It can be had for around $700 total from anybody who sells it and It will work as a monitor and tv and has a native resolution of 720p but will handle 1081i as well. Check out some reviews and go to the site. I have a user review on amazon, under the name aging online punk and the site is olevia.com
