Hello,
My tv set has a native resolution of 1366x768, saddly I can't get that resolution using my HDMI cable because it only accepts 720p or 1080I standards. So when I watch a 720 lines movies my TV does an upscaling, and for a 1080, it does a downscalling .. I think Im still writting something true ?
Well here is my question : When I set up my computer for a resolution of 1280x720,the windows desktop and the movies I play don't feet the screen, and some parts are missing. I just dont understand why my TV set doesn't do a perfect upascaling ? well because it's about some mathematical problems with numbers to match a better scalling. So if I want to watch my movie displaying its full size I have to undersize but it is no more a 1280x720 movie, it becomes something like 1180x680 or so. I just find that a shame because well my TV set has 1366x768 lines !
So I was wondering if watching a 720p movie in a resolution of 1080I should no be better.
I hope you understood my question and hope you can bring me some help :=)
Thanks !
