My local cable company (Time Warner in Houston, TX) set me up with HD. During the install they hooked the HD decoder to my TV using composite cables (Red, White, Yellow) instead of component cables (red, blue, green). Is this a problem? Am I getting the best picture? Would like to know if the installer was just being lazy and didn't have the right cables or if there really is no difference between the two types of cables. Anyone else have this experience from their cable company? Thanks!!

Comcast did the same for me...
Thats just inexperience on the installers part, as well as stupidity and cheapness on TW's part.
Go out and buy some component cables and you will experience a better pic.

I would recommend calling the cable company and at least let them know that the installer did not install the correct cables. Then see if they will refund the install charge or give you a few days free service.

The tech I got installed the correct cables but ATT seems to like the least expensive ones with cheap connectors. The connectors slide off too easily. And they only came with 6' cables.
