Help....WS-55805

My 2007 WS-55805 went down last week, the TV tech says that the Convergence Generator Module is bad and in need of replacing, I kinda upsets me in that Mitsubishi no longer makes this part (as my TV is only 7 yrs old)and I cannot seem to find it anywhere. In reading up on this problem is it my understanding that I can replace the IC's and this will solve the problem? I have the CGM part number 935D476001 but not the IC's part number.

I do have some sodering exp. so I can try and do it myself, is there any hope for my Tv or is another 3000.00 down the tubes..

Specifically which part do you need and what troubleshooting was done to confirm this? While I have seen it, convergence generator problems on these are quite rare.
