I don't have a DVD burner to do this. So I was wondering if there is a known way to get a video from my playlist on my DirecTv HR20 to my computer. I want to use the video for a little project I want to start that requires being able to email a small clip of a video from in my playlist.

With A video capture aparatus.

Thanks, but I guess was curious if there were any ways without buying exspensive equiptment. I haven't dug behing my enetertainment center yet; but is there a USB port on the HR20? can I just bring my PC in the same room and connect it somehow and do it that way? Otherwise if I were to buy equiptment I'd just pick up a DVD recorder.

The USB port can not be used to extract video.
