WS-55807 Component input HELP!!!

i currently own a mitsubishi ws-55807 television.
i really dont know a whole lot about HD and Component cables but i know the basics.
i bought an xbox 360 and connected the component cables to the back of my tv where it says "Component 2"....i turn my TV on and when i click INPUT there is only an input for "DVD" and "VCR" and "Antenna1"....i dnt see anything sayin "INPUT 1/2/3/4" or "Component 1-2" therefore i dnt know how to get the picture and sound to show up for the xbox so im able to play...everything is connected correctly on the back of the TV but i was wondering if there is a way to get to that input to allow me to play my xbox....can somebody PLEASE help its getting really frustrating and i dont want to end up connecting my xbox to the normal yelllow, white, red RCA cables....PLEASE some1 help me!!!

On your remote, move the slide switch on the top (if your remote is the one that came with the set) over to the "TV" position and then hit the MENU button.
Go to SETUP>ENTER and go down to INPUT ASSIGNMENT>hit the ENTER button and you should see the Input Assignment Menu.
Check at Component-2 and make sure it is ON (note this is where you activate the Inputs you want to use).
You should be able to find it next time you visit the Input button.
That should do it.
