View Full Version : No picture with HDMI cable

also the HDMI light on my Sony DVD player is not on. It works fine with the 3 colored plug in cables. I went into the TV settings and set "source" as HDMI 1 for DVD. My TV is a Phillips 37pf7320A/37.
Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.

Since the HDMI light is not on perhaps you need to go into the players menu setting and enable HDMI out of the player.

My brother has a JVC 48" RPCRT with HDMI. We have tried the Toshiba HD-A3 and a Pioneer Up-Converting DVD players via HDMI with no picture.
I went to read up on the JVC manual on the HDMI port and there was not ONE word about HDCP. Anyone wanting to using HDMI players better have a HDTV with HDMI/DVI to support HDCP v1.1.
In any case I found a fix to the HDMI/HDCP playback issue with his HD-A3, he bought the VisionFC4 off ebay and it now works perfectly!
