Just wondering why monoprice does not carry any HDMI to DVI dual link cables. They're all single link. If I can get a dual link would I be better off as far as PQ goes on a 1080i t.v.?

Single link is capable of 1080x1920, using a dual link won't give you any PQ increase.

I don't think that it will improve PQ, but:

Would that Dual Link Adaptor be just as good as using an actual cable with the DVI end on one end and the HDMI end on the other end?

In other words, would the adaptor cause any PQ difference between using that with a DVI to DVI cable versus just using a HDMI to DVI cable alone?

Shouldn't make a difference with PQ using either method.

Since the correct cable is often just as inexpensive as using an adaptor, that's what I usually recommend because the more connectors you have, the more likely there is to be an issue.

I bought a HDMI to dvi cable (no converter) from Wal mart but it was expensive $29.00 But it beats the $80 cord CC and BB were trying to sell me
