View Full Version : Akai PT4298 No power, red blinking light

Got a free pt4298hd that needs repair. Red blinking power light (9 blinks) and nothing else. Checked 2.6 ohm resistors on covergence board OK. Have +22 V and -22 V to board. Unpluged power to con. board and tried to power set. Still 9 blinks on power light. Can anyone tell me what 9 blinks are? Any way to check the STK's? Any help would be great.

Fixed my dead tv with the help from allexperts.com. Had no high voltage so I traced back from the flyback transformer. An open 0.47 ohm fusable resistor was the culprit. Replaced it and everything fired up, not bad for a free tv. If you have a similiar problem make sure you get samsung 4226 sevice manual. That manual has all the info you need.
