HD signals

Ok can you see an HD signal on your TV without haveing a STB...

theres a station about 60 miles or less away thats broadcasting in HD I know about the size of an antenna and the terrain and all that..... and about the picture wont be a HD picture and all without a STB, but before i go through the trouble of trying to tune this in will i see a picture?

My TV is HD compateble

All you will see is a black screen.

You need an OTA HD tuner to decode the broadcasted HD signal. Without it, you get nothing. You will need a STB if it is not already integrated into your set.

now i just have to convince my wife to let me buy a STB
