Charter Motorola Cable Box Question

I have a Toshiba 51H84 HDTV and unfortunately for me have downgraded my cable to plain ol' digital because funds are low now that I am in my clinicals for school. My question is should I hook the box up with r/y/w RCA's or just the coax? Is it even gonna be noticeable? I do have a set of high quality RCA's I could use, just trying to see if it is worth the time...thanks in advance.

What did you "downgrade" from?

The connections from worst to best:
RF coax
composite (yellow)
s-video
component (red/green/blue) (Or... RGB/HV, VGA)
HDMI/DVI
