Hello, I recently returned a faulty Samsung LN-T3253H (bad fan and audio drop-out) and got a Sony Bravia KDL-32S3000. I got to say, the Sony Bravia looks great.

I was wondering, even though I'm not going to return the tv, what the difference is between a standard Bravia and a Bravia XBR?

Thanks.

I'm not an expert on this but what i do know is that the new LCD XBR's offer the 120 Hz bravia engine which main use is the for the Motionflow technology which is basically meant to smooth out or reduce blurr on fast moving action scenes in video. Also, XBR's traditionally have a few extra menu features. Other than that I'm thinking the pictures should both be similar?

I have heard that the non-XBR 1080P Bravias look quite well.

I really like it a lot. It hasn't given me any problems (knock on wood) and I think it's worth the money that you're going to spend on it.

As with any TV, you're going to need to calibrate it to get the best possible picture out of it.

The TV has 3 composite/s-video inputs, 2 component inputs, 2 HDMI inputs and a PC input, as well as an ATSC tuner.

The manual says it will accept 1080P signals, but display it at 720P, which means we could get a HD-DVD or Blu-ray player and watch it on the TV.
