Hi- from what I read this is the box to get and these are essentially identical. Anyone get a great deal - best I saw was $525 for the Toshiba.

I got the Hughes E86 for $450 dollars plus 60 day in home trial with a no questions ask return. (after seeing HDTV on my mits ws55819 I don't know if I will return it or not). The sat. viewing om my screen was poor in my opinion but the HD OTA channels were sweet!
Glad i found this thread i was trying to determine if i really did get a good deal on my DST-3000 .. I walked into an all but cleared out (going out of box) Wiz store in my area.. and sitting on one of the shelves was a DST-3000 it had a tag on it marked at 419.00 .. i told my wife to watch this.. i ripped th tag off and brought it to the counter.. asked the very non interedted (losing his job) kid how much.. he walked away for 3 seconds came back and said 225.00 i said here and handed him the cash..
right place right time i suppose..

I just recently visited my local Circuit City and purchased the Hughes E-86 for $399. Good thing is, they currently have a $100 rebate running, so I essentially got it for $300.
Wait, there's more! I am sure everyone here has heard about the DirecTV HD deals they are giving for 3 LNB dishes and HD receivers. Well, I live just outside of the Dallas metroplex and have to go through a reseller of DirecTV, Pegasus to be more specific. Anyhow, I got ahold of their customer retention department, and complained about the deal that regulard DirectTV customers were getting, and got them to overnight me a 3 LNB dish for no charge, as well as setting up free installation, plus $120 in credit towards my account.
In all, I got a 3 LNB dish, installation, and a Hughes E-86 receiver for $180. Not bad if I don't say so myself!
