Hey Everyone,
My family has just recently purchased a Sony Bravia TV for our living room. The problem we are experiencing is with a new cord we have just bought. We just bought a DVI - HDMI cord. We have the DVI plugged into the back of our High Definition box and the HDMI into the TV. The problem we are having is that whenever we switch inputs, turn off/on the tv, the picture on the TV becomes split, with a big black bar down the middle and the left side is being mirrored onto the right side. We fix this by just switched the channel and it is back to normal. I was wondering if anyone has any idea what would cause this, or even if this is a known issue with these types of cords.
Thanks, any help would be greatly appreciated.

The HDMI connection can be quite flakey, especially if you involve DVI. See the following posts.

Suggest you use component video.
