KDF50WE655 lamp hours

I have a Sony KDF50WE655 HDTV I purchased in
July 2005. I would like to find out how many hours is on my lamp. I understand this info is
in the Service Minu. I afraid to access the
Service Minu, not knowing what I am doing. Can anyone give me step by step instructions how to access this information. You can e-mail me at: wjbrightwell@msn.com

With power off using remote enter:
display - 5 - volume+ - power
service menu should be up then:
push jump 3 times
push #2 nine times
Should see Lamp TM = hours Lamp CT= on/off cycles

If its the orginal lamp in it I'd say go buy another on soon. Going on three years is quite a long time. Usually the maxium amount of hours is about 10,000 hours under perfect conditions/usage. Most get around 5k to 7K.

Mine is also the original from June '05. I know it has to be coming due and have considered ordering a replacement.
