Guys, I'm having an incredibly hard time deciding on one of these TV's.

I have the money for one of them and unfortunately Best Buy, Circuit City etc. don't allow a trial period for these.

I'm afraid of lamps, I'm also afraid of the age of the samsung. It looks like it was made in 2006, where as the KDF was made in 2007.

Well thanks

Go with the KDS50A3000. The SXRDs (LCoS Technology) have been well reviewed and provide excellent black levels and colour.

I concour with the others. Go with the SXRD. Not much to fault on the SXRD's. They always seem to come up at the top in reviews.

I won't be to worried about the bulbs. If this is your main TV you should get about two years give or take about six months on the bulb. Lots of factors can determine the life of the bulb. The bulbs run anywhere from about $125 to $250 depending on the source. Usually on the internet they run around $150 to $200. Its a simple 5 min. do it yourself job and when your done the TV picture quality will look like new. So that is a big positive.
