Hi,
Just wanted to give a piece of advice. I bought a New Polaroid HDTV set in
December 2008. Everything worked fine but the HDMI Input wasn't even a
HDMI Input even the tech guy didn't know what it was. They sent me a new
replacement part. Tech guy put it in and it fried my entire TV.

Polaroid said they would send a replacement and never did. After talking to
Numerous Associates and Supervisors with no result. I filed 5 claims against
Polaroid with different Government Agencies. Then guess what, I recieved a new one in two days.

Had the new one different model and after a month the RF Coaxial Connector
went Bad. Had to call Polaroid again, go through all the sane stuff as before,
but this time I consulted a Lawyer on any suit I could file against them. I had
this 2nd defective set for about 3 months.

Guess what after they where informed I retained a Lawyer. They sent me
a new TV in 2 days. Got it Friday, this one is also a different model. Will see
how long this one lasts.

Do yourself a huge favor and agrevation and stay away from Polaroid TV's.

"...stay away from Polaroid TV's."
Thanks for the warning...that's quite a horror story.

Looks like you're spreading the word (http://club.cdfreaks.com/f148/vary-careful-about-polaroid-hdtvs-240898/) around the internet, hopefully anyone thinking of buying one will now think twice and do a thorough investigation into the Polaroid set they are contemplating.

If your latest one gives you problems see if you can just get your money back (unless your lawyer wants to sue Polaroid for emotional distress and compensatory damages  ) and look into another brand of HDTV...any OTHER brand.

Good luck and keep us posted!

Hi,

Will do, All were 32 inch LCD HDTV's , 3 different models, sorry
don't remember the first one but the second 2 were the
3211-TLXB, and TDA-03211C.

I bought the first one Online probably should have went to a brick
and mortar store.

When I filed one of my complaints with the BBB I was supprised to
see that Polaroid had numerous complaints.

I'm not saying their other products are bad just there TV's and there
Customer Service does not exist. Not once did they Email me or Call
me or even Apologize. I had to call them Every Day and I would usually
hear a different story everyday. Never talked to same Supervisor twice,
and they would NEVER give me there last name. Hmmmm.....

The original Polaroid Corp., which made some fine products, went bankrupt in 2001. The name is now owned by Petters Group Worldwide and their products are made mostly in China. Most of their products appear to be low end and they no longer make instant film cameras.

Sometimes the old saying still rings true........You get what you pay for.

Alot of these off the wall electronic brands are made as cheap as possible and seems like very little quality control at the manufacturing plant.

Vizio and Olevia are two of best bang for the buck TV's on the market when your talking about entry level TV's. In fact they give a good run and beat many TV's head to head when comparing lower to mid level models of the major company's you expect to be the best. Both company's are really starting to come into there own.
