When I try to turn on my tv the standby light blinks 9 times and the tv will not turn on. When i use the remote and hit the buttons display, 5, volume+, power, the tv will turn on but there are words and numbers at the top and bottom of the screen. The picture looks great and all of the channels work, but the numbers stay onscreen all the time. I was hoping someone could help me with this problem, thank you!

Try calling Sony on that one.
I assume you've tried to unplug the TV for a few minutes and then plug it back in.

This is an easy fix for a skilled Sony tech. Usually either a bad solder connection, a bad diode, or one of several other parts in the ZCD circuit.

Is this a circuit board i could change myself ? I really don't want to take the tv out of my basement.

I know this is an old thread but I was wondering if there were any resolutions to the issue. I am having the same problem. Nine blink and it won;t come on. If I unplug overnight, it comes on but once turned off, it's not coming back on. I get ZCD 82.
