Got a Sony KD-26M4000

I just got a new Sony Bravia KDL-26M4000. I love it! Its the perfect size that I wanted for my room. I have Dishnetwork and I'am eventually going to get the HD channels. The thing is I don't watch most of the channels that they offer in HD. What I would watch the most would be the local stations, so I'm thinking of just getting a HD antenna for now until there are more HD channels. The picture is great, but it does get a little distorted looking if I switch to wide mode. I've been playing around with it a lot, but how can I get the best picture I can get?
Last night I watched Cloverfield on it. The picture was awesome, too bad the movie wasn't.

This is an LCD and there is no burn in concern. There is no need to stretch 4:3 programming - it causes distortion and makes for poorer picture quality. Watch 4:3 as 4:3 and 16:9 as 16:9.
